Alessandro Cavalli joins US Semine after spell without a club

Italian-Nigerian right-back Alessandro Cavalli has joined US Semine, completing a move to the club on 14 August 2026.

The Bologna-born defender is 19 and has moved after spending the period since September 2025 without a club. Cavalli’s arrival gives US Semine a young right-sided defensive option, with the player listed as a right-back and favouring his right foot.

Cavalli began the 2025-26 campaign with ACR Messina before leaving the club and becoming a free agent. He had previously returned to Messina after a loan spell with Notaresco, where he played after moving from Messina’s under-19 side in January 2025.

His spell with Notaresco came during the second half of the 2024-25 season. The loan ended on 30 June 2025, when he returned to ACR Messina, before departing the club later that year.

Cavalli made one recorded appearance in the Coppa Serie D, completing 90 minutes. He was also registered in Serie D – I, the Serie D play-out competition and Serie D – F, although no further appearances are recorded.

The defender joined Messina’s youth set-up from Fermana Youth in July 2024 on a free transfer. Before that, he had been with Mantova’s under-17 side before moving to Fermana’s youth system.

At 1.85m, Cavalli adds height to US Semine’s defensive group while offering a natural option on the right side. His background includes youth football in Italy, senior involvement in Serie D and a loan period at Notaresco.

The move marks the latest step in a career that has taken Cavalli through Mantova’s under-17s, Fermana Youth, Messina’s under-19 team, Notaresco and ACR Messina. He now continues his development with US Semine after joining the club as a player without a previous team.

Cavalli’s transfer was completed on 14 August 2026, and he is now a US Semine player.
