Arsenal’s loaned midfielder, Albert Sambi Lokonga, is resolute in his desire to rejuvenate his career at the North London club, expressing hopes of a return despite his current tenure at Luton Town in the Premier League.
The Belgian international, currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury, has set his sights on a potential comeback in the near future.
Lokonga, under contract with Arsenal until 2026, emphasized his aspirations, stating, “That’s the ideal scenario [returning to Arsenal], but let me focus on Luton. The next six months will decide my future at Arsenal and with the national team.”
In an interview with The Mirror, Lokonga hinted at the uncertainties surrounding his future, saying, “I don’t know what my future at the club holds. I feel really good at Arsenal. We’ll see what happens, but as long as I’m under contract there, I will always fight to get back into the team. I still have contact with the Arsenal staff.”
The young midfielder’s determination to secure a return to Arsenal is evident, with his current spell at Luton providing a platform for him to showcase his abilities and potentially earn a spot in the Gunners’ squad.
Lokonga’s temporary stint away from Arsenal due to the loan arrangement has not diminished his commitment to the club. Instead, it appears to have intensified his motivation to prove himself and regain a role within Arsenal’s setup, highlighting his resilience and dedication to earning his place in the team’s future plans.
As he continues his recovery from injury, Lokonga remains focused on excelling at Luton while keeping an eye on a potential return to Arsenal, striving to make a substantial impact both at club level and on the international stage.
