Premier League icon Alan Shearer has showered praise on Mohamed Salah following the Egyptian’s standout performance in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City.
Salah delivered a goal and an assist at the Etihad Stadium, propelling Liverpool to a crucial win in the 26th round of the league. The legendary former Newcastle striker recognized Salah’s impact by including him in his Team of the Week.
“Salah cannot be stopped, as he scored a goal and made another in the same match again,” Shearer stated in an interview with the Premier League’s official website.
The former England captain also highlighted Salah’s defensive work, noting his efforts to support Trent Alexander-Arnold in containing City’s Jeremy Doku.
