The official website of Marseille reported that Romao signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with a salary of 100,000 euros. Romao, 29, expressed his excitement about joining Marseille, highlighting the club’s rich history and his commitment to completing the season with his new team. Romao had been with Lorient for three seasons, delivering strong performances. A previous attempt to move to Besiktas in Turkey during the summer had not materialized.
