The Senegalese Football Federation has officially appointed Alain Giresse as the new coach for the Senegal national team. Me Augustin Senghor, the president of the federation, expressed confidence in Giresse’s proven experience at the highest African level. The Frenchman’s appointment comes with a two-year tenure, and his primary objective is to guide Senegal to qualification for the 2014 World Cup.
