Alaa Nabil, the technical director of the Egyptian Football Association, has outlined his vision for the future of Egyptian football, emphasizing the significance of the upcoming phase in the country’s footballing journey.
Nabil revealed his plans for a robust program aimed at enhancing various aspects of the sport, which he intends to present to the association’s board for approval.
He stressed the importance of prioritizing youth development to ensure continuity and progress across generations, while also sharing his prediction of Cote d’Ivoire’s victory in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
In a televised interview, Nabil expressed his anticipation for the pivotal period ahead for Egyptian football, highlighting the recent agreement with the football association under the leadership of Gamal Allam.
He underscored the collaborative efforts aimed at addressing critical issues and fostering growth within the sport.
“We are preparing a highly comprehensive program that will be presented to the board of directors, accompanied by a structured system that I have devised.
Over the past seven years, I have accumulated significant experience in youth development.
However, there is a pressing need to establish effective intergenerational communication,” Nabil stated.
Acknowledging the role of Aamer Hussein, Nabil emphasized their shared commitment to advancing Egyptian football, praising Hussein’s invaluable contributions and innovative ideas.
“As the technical director, it is imperative for me to have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of football across various clubs.
I have concluded all administrative tasks, and from Saturday onward, I will dedicate myself to finalizing our strategy,” Nabil explained, detailing his forthcoming plans for a comprehensive announcement.
Nabil emphasized the importance of collaboration with all stakeholders in the upcoming period, advocating for input from diverse perspectives, including that of Dr. Gamal Mohamed Ali.
He stressed the necessity of a robust plan to enhance coaching capabilities, with a focus on both local and international training opportunities.
“We have historically focused on coaching development within Arab countries.
Moving forward, we aim to restore the prestige of Egyptian coaches and expand their influence,” Nabil affirmed, highlighting his recent discussions with Ibrahim Hassan regarding future collaboration opportunities.
Furthermore, Nabil shared his prediction for the victor of the Africa Cup of Nations, expressing his belief in Cote d’Ivoire’s resilience and their potential to triumph despite initial setbacks.
