As Al Shabab positions itself at the eleventh spot in the Saudi Pro League with 21 points, the club is intensifying efforts to bolster its squad for the ongoing season. The focal point of their attention is Ahmed Sayed Zizo, currently affiliated with Zamalek in the Egyptian championship.

The 27-year-old striker has long been on Al Shabab’s radar, with the Saudi club attempting to secure his services in the upcoming transfer period.

In the previous summer, Al Shabab’s bid of 5 million euros faced rejection from the administrative council of Zamalek.

Undeterred, the Saudi leaders remain committed to acquiring Zizo and may present more lucrative offers during the winter transfer window.

However, the impending 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) poses a potential obstacle to this transfer.

Ahmed Sayed Zizo is a crucial part of the AFCON campaign, and his focus is rightfully directed towards the collective objective of securing the prestigious trophy.

In the current season, Zizo, formerly associated with Moreirense, boasts an impressive record of 6 goals and 3 assists in 11 matches with Zamalek.

As Al Shabab navigates the complexities of securing the talented striker, the looming AFCON commitments add a layer of complexity to the negotiations.

Whether Al Shabab can successfully navigate these challenges and secure Ahmed Sayed Zizo remains to be seen, but the pursuit indicates the club’s commitment to fortifying its squad for the remainder of the Saudi Pro League campaign.
