It seems that Nadir Belhadj, the Algerian left-back, has extended his contract with Al Sadd SC. The 30-year-old, whose contract with the Qatar champion had initially come to an end on June 30, has now signed a new deal with the club.
Despite earlier speculations about a potential return to the old continent, Belhadj has decided to continue his association with Al Sadd. The former Lyon defender has committed to two more seasons with the Qatari club, and he is now a member of the team until June 2015.
Belhadj, who joined Al Sadd in 2010 from RC Lens, has chosen to remain in Qatar, extending his stay with the club for the foreseeable future.
