Al Masry weighing bids from MC Alger and USM Alger for Abdel Rahim Daghmoum

Al Masry have received offers from MC Alger and USM Alger for Algerian midfielder Abdel Rahim Daghmoum, with the two proposals potentially reaching a combined value of $2m each once performance-related additions are included.

FilGoal.com understands that MC Alger have submitted a basic offer worth $1m for Daghmoum, while USM Alger’s initial proposal is valued at $1.25m.

Both bids could rise to $2m after additional payments are taken into account. However, Al Masry have not yet decided whether to accept either offer or allow Daghmoum to leave the club.

The final decision is expected to be made by Al Masry president Kamel Abou Ali and the club’s director of contracts, Mohamed Moussa.

At present, the possibility of Daghmoum being sold is considered to be 50%. The club are weighing the financial value of the proposals against their desire to maintain stability within the squad and keep Al Masry’s key players.

Abou Ali is understood to be keen to avoid weakening the team by selling important members of the squad. That stance means neither of the two offers has yet been approved, despite the value of the packages available to the club.

The matter will therefore remain under consideration as Al Masry prepare for their next league fixture against Pyramids FC.

That match will be played in the third round of the Egyptian league. Al Masry have made a perfect start to the campaign, winning their opening two games against Smouha and El Mokawloon.

The club’s early results have added importance to the decision over Daghmoum’s future, with Al Masry currently seeking to preserve the squad that has delivered those victories. Any agreement with either MC Alger or USM Alger would depend on the approval of the club’s leadership.

MC Alger’s proposal is lower in its guaranteed value, at $1m, but the overall figure could eventually reach $2m once the agreed additions are included. USM Alger have offered $1.25m before extras, with their package also capable of rising to $2m.

Despite the interest from both Algerian clubs, Daghmoum’s position remains unresolved. Al Masry have yet to accept one of the proposals, and the player’s future will be determined after Abou Ali and Moussa complete their assessment of the offers and their impact on the team.

For now, Daghmoum remains part of the Al Masry squad while preparations continue for the meeting with Pyramids FC. The club’s unbeaten start, built on victories over Smouha and El Mokawloon, has reinforced the priority of preserving the team’s balance while considering the opportunity to secure a sizeable transfer fee.
