Mohamed Ahmed Salama, the president of Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club, has provided fresh insight into the club’s transfer dealings after confirming successful negotiations with Pyramids FC over the acquisition of one of their key midfielders, Abdel Rahman Magdy.
The Alexandria-based club has been active in the winter transfer window, having already bolstered their squad with the loan signing of Abdel Rahman Magdy from Al Ahly until the end of the current season.
It appears to be part of a broader strategy aimed at reinforcing the team during the second half of the campaign.
However, the Al-Ittihad Alexandria president has disclosed that talks with Pyramids FC have reached a successful conclusion regarding the transfer of Abdel Rahman Magdy.
“We have reached a final agreement with Pyramids to sign Abdel Rahman Magdy, the team’s playmaker, during the current winter transfer window.”
The Al-Ittihad president went on to confirm that the deal has already been finalized, with the player completing all necessary paperwork ahead of his move to Alexandria.
“Abdel Rahman Magdy signed contracts to transfer to Al-Ittihad Alexandria for a period of 6 months on loan, and he will join the team’s training tomorrow, Saturday.”
Salama also hinted that the club’s transfer activity may not be over yet, leaving the door open for additional reinforcements before the window shuts.
“It is possible that new deals will be concluded before the winter transfer window closes, according to our technical choices.”
In addition to addressing transfer matters, Salama clarified the situation regarding the club’s technical bench, firmly dismissing speculation about a possible change in leadership.
“Until this moment, Tamer Mostafa remains at the head of the team’s technical leadership, and there is no intention for him to leave”
With these developments, Al-Ittihad Alexandria appear determined to strengthen both on and off the pitch as they look to improve their fortunes for the remainder of the season.
