Saudi giants Al-Hilal have significantly increased their contract offer to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, raising his proposed salary to an eye-watering €40 million per season—totalling €160 million over four years—as Manchester United and Arsenal continue to monitor the Nigerian’s situation.
Osimhen, who has a €75 million release clause for clubs outside Serie A, is one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe this summer.
The 26-year-old, of Nigerian descent, scored 37 goals in 41 appearances during a standout loan spell at Galatasaray, cementing his reputation as a prolific frontman.
Reports suggest Al-Hilal remain the only non-Italian club willing to meet his full buyout clause.
Initial attempts by Al-Hilal to lure Osimhen with a €30 million-per-year offer were turned down, but Corriere dello Sport reports the club has now returned with an upgraded proposal worth €40 million per season—figures few clubs in Europe can rival.
Liverpool’s Darwin Núñez is said to be considering a switch to Napoli, where new boss Antonio Conte is reportedly eager to make him a central figure in his plans. Such a move could pave the way for Osimhen’s exit.
While Manchester United and Arsenal have long been linked with Osimhen, their respective pursuits of Matheus Cunha and Viktor Gyökeres suggest their interest may be cooling. Chelsea, another rumoured destination, appear to be out of the race entirely.
Despite interest from Premier League sides, Al-Hilal’s financial package and competitive ambitions make them a formidable option.
Napoli manager Simone Inzaghi still values Osimhen highly, but the growing likelihood of a Saudi switch may bring the striker’s Serie A journey to a close this summer.
