Al Hilal have reignited their interest in Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri, stepping up efforts to sign the striker after failing to land Victor Osimhen despite reportedly offering an extraordinary financial package.
Negotiations have intensified between the Saudi Arabian giants and Turkish side Fenerbahçe, where En-Nesyri currently plays.
Al Hilal have tabled a formal bid of €30 million in a bid to lure the 27-year-old striker to Riyadh.
Fenerbahçe, however, have rejected the offer, setting their asking price at €40 million for the former Sevilla and Leganés man.
The uncertainty surrounding En-Nesyri’s future in Istanbul has opened the door for suitors, and Al Hilal are said to be particularly keen following their unsuccessful attempt to convince Osimhen to join.
The Nigerian striker turned down the move despite the lucrative terms on offer, prompting Al Hilal to refocus their attention on En-Nesyri.
The Moroccan international has previously shown hesitation towards a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Reports indicate he had earlier declined a proposal from Al Nassr.
But in light of recent developments—including the high-profile appointment of Italian manager Simone Inzaghi as Jorge Jesus’ successor—En-Nesyri is said to be more open to the idea of making the switch.
En-Nesyri’s career trajectory has seen him become a key figure for both club and country.
After a successful spell at Sevilla, where he gained recognition for his physicality and goal-scoring instinct, he joined Fenerbahçe and continued to impress in the Turkish Super Lig.
Former Moroccan international Salaheddine Bassir has publicly advised En-Nesyri to prioritise a move to the English Premier League, suggesting it would be a more fitting platform for his talents.
However, Al Hilal’s persistence—bolstered by their financial clout and managerial changes—may yet prove decisive.
With the summer transfer window heating up, En-Nesyri’s next move remains a focal point of speculation, as Fenerbahçe stand firm and Al Hilal prepare to return with an improved bid.
