Two of the Middle East’s biggest clubs are prepared to activate the release clause for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, as interest in the prolific Nigerian forward intensifies ahead of the summer transfer window.
Galatasaray could lose Osimhen, who is currently on loan from Serie A side Napoli.
The 26-year-old joined the Turkish giants for the season and has delivered an exceptional campaign, scoring 33 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Although Galatasaray do not hold a permanent deal for the striker, Napoli had included a release clause of €75 million in his loan agreement.
According to Italian outlet La Repubblica, that figure is expected to be met — not by the Turkish champions, but by two wealthy suitors from the Gulf region.
Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al-Hilal and ambitious UAE club Al Ain are both said to be ready to meet the €75 million asking price to secure Osimhen’s signature.
The timing is crucial for both clubs, who are eager to finalise the move ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in June, where they will be representing their respective nations.
Osimhen’s form in Turkey has reignited interest in a player who only a season ago was one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards following Napoli’s Scudetto-winning campaign.
Injuries hampered his early months in Istanbul, but he has since recovered to become a dominant presence in the Turkish Super Lig and in Europe.
Napoli are reportedly open to cashing in, especially given Osimhen’s desire for regular football and the high fee being offered.
For Galatasaray, however, his expected departure will be a significant blow as they look to build on their domestic success and push further in European competition.
