Khaled Bebo, the Director of Football at Al Ahly, shared insights into the team’s camp in the United Arab Emirates, which commenced yesterday and extends for a week as part of Al Ahly’s preparations for upcoming fixtures post the conclusion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Ivory Coast.
Bebo praised the atmosphere at the camp and expressed his hopes that players, particularly the youth and emerging talents selected by the head coach Marcelo Cule, would derive maximum benefit from the experience.
The Director of Football mentioned that Cule had chosen several youth players to be part of the team’s camp in the UAE, including Mu’taz Mohamed, Ahmed Aabdeen, Youssef Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Ahmed Taaema, Ibrahim Abdel Hakim, Mazen Osama, Islam Abdullah, Abduljawad Abdul Rahman, Hazem Jamal, and Abdul Rahman Khaled “Fares.”
Bebo stated, “All youth sector players are promising, but their presence in this large group with the first team in a closed camp is a unique opportunity for them to prove themselves.”
He commended the focus exhibited by all players, expressing his wish that the coaching staff would extract the maximum benefit from the team’s camp in the UAE.
Al Ahly entered a closed camp in the UAE starting from last Saturday, gearing up for the next phase after the conclusion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
