In preparation for the continuation of the group stage matches of the CAF Champions League, officials at Al Ahly have successfully registered Palestinian striker Wisam Abu Ali on the club’s African list.
The international clearance for Wisam Abu Ali, who recently joined from Sweden’s Sirius, arrived in the past hours.
The Palestinian forward has been participating in group training sessions with Al Ahly since the club officially announced his signing for a duration of four and a half years.
The registration of Wisam Abu Ali is a strategic move as Al Ahly aims to defend its title in the CAF Champions League, a title the club has secured 11 times in its illustrious history.
Notably, Omar Kamal Abdulwahid will not be included in the African list due to his prior participation with his former team, Future, in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Al Ahly is gearing up to face Algeria’s CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League following the conclusion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Côte d’Ivoire.
The defending champions are determined to maintain their continental supremacy in the upcoming matches.
