Al Ahly have officially completed the signing of Petrojet defender Hady Reyad on a three-and-a-half-year contract, strengthening the back line of the Cairo giants in the winter transfer window.
The club finalized all administrative and contractual procedures with Petrojet and the player, as confirmed in an official statement from the Red Castle.
Reyad, aged 26, has built his career step by step across several Egyptian clubs, including Sharbien, Wadi Degla, Haras El Hodood, and Kafr El Sheikh, before joining Petrojet in 2021.
His solid performances at the back earned him a call-up to the Egypt national team squad for the 2025 Arab Cup, although he did not feature in any match during the tournament. Joining Al Ahly now offers him the platform to push for a more permanent role with the Pharaohs.
This move also continues Al Ahly’s busy winter, with Riad becoming the club’s sixth incoming signing.
The African champions have already added goalkeeper Hamza Alaa on a free transfer, right back Ahmed Eid from Al Masry, defender Amr El Gazzar from National Bank of Egypt, forward Marwan Othman from Ceramica Cleopatra, and Moroccan left back Youssef Belaamri from Raja Casablanca.
Together, these reinforcements reflect Al Ahly’s clear intent to deepen their squad for domestic and continental challenges in the coming seasons.
