Al Ahly secures leadership stability for the next four years
Mahmoud El Khatib has retained his role as president of Al Ahly Club after winning the club’s election for the 2025-2029 term, with 11,768 members present.
The club’s leadership saw sweeping victories, including Yassin Mansour as vice president and Khaled Mortagy as treasurer, all running unopposed.
For club council memberships, Ibrahim Al-Amri and Roweida Hisham secured seats under the age category. Meanwhile, the board will also welcome Sayed Abdel Hafiz, Tarek Kandil, Mohamed El-Ghazawy, Mohamed El-Damaty, Mohamed El-Garhy, Ahmed Hossam Awad, and Hazem Hilal.
El Khatib expressed heartfelt thanks, saying, “The General Assembly today was, as always, a shining example of loyalty and commitment to the club. Together, we set the path for Al Ahly’s future.” He praised outgoing board members for their dedication, emphasizing that, “differences in vision do not impact our unity,” and affirmed, “Al Ahly will remain strong through its devoted members and the participation of its assembly.”
Looking ahead, Al Ahly’s football team will travel to the UAE on Monday for the Egyptian Super Cup, preparing for their semifinal match on November 6. The club remains focused on both administrative and sporting success for the years to come.
