In the ongoing winter transfer window, Al-Ahly Football Club has turned down a Saudi offer to acquire the services of the team’s defender and Egyptian national team player, Yasser Ibrahim.
Abha Club from Saudi Arabia had presented an offer to loan Yasser Ibrahim for six months, offering $300,000.
However, Al-Ahly’s football management deemed this sum as excessively low considering Yasser Ibrahim’s capabilities, coupled with his status as an international player for Egypt.
The rejection by Al-Ahly was further reinforced by the stance of Swiss coach Marcel Koller, the team’s head coach, who categorically informed the football planning committee of his complete refusal to allow Yasser Ibrahim’s departure.
This decision was driven by Koller’s current need for Ibrahim’s contributions and the absence of plans to recruit a new defender at this time.
