Mahmoud El Khatib, the President of Al Ahly’s Board of Directors and the overall supervisor of football affairs, has made a significant decision to motivate the players of Al Ahly ahead of their match against Young Africans in the final round of the group stage in the CAF Champions League.
Al Ahly is set to face Young Africans on Friday, March 1, 2024, in the last round of group stage matches in the Champions League.
Both Al Ahly and Young Africans have already secured qualification for the quarter-finals before this match, with the summit clash between them determining the group winner and the second-placed team.
El Khatib has decided to grant a special bonus to the players according to the new regulations set for the team’s participation in the CAF Champions League following their away victory against Ghanaian champions Medeama with a goal scored by Hussein El Shahat.
