Currently, confidential negotiations are underway between the Al Ahly Club’s Football Department, under the leadership of Adly El-Qei’ei, and some officials of Brooqsi Club to secure the sponsorship rights for the first football team at Brooqsi Club, mirroring the sponsorship model used for Ceramica Cleopatra team in Dairut in the second division.
According to “Al Masry Al Youm,” a single point of contention has emerged thus far, which is Brooqsi Club’s insistence on equal sponsorship between the club and Al Ahly. Al Ahly, on the other hand, is seeking a 51% management stake, with Al Ahly responsible for appointing the coaching staff for the Brooqsi team.
It is also understood that Al Ahly has requested to relocate Brooqsi team’s training sessions to Cairo.
Negotiations are ongoing with Brooqsi Club’s management, led by Hamed Abduljalil, the club’s president, and Mohamed Hamed Abduljalil, the team’s technical director, along with partners Basem Bahaa and Fareed Ghalilah.
It’s worth mentioning that the latter duo shares sponsorship responsibilities with the club’s management, each owning a 50% stake.
Al Ahly awaits the final decision from Brooqsi Club’s board of directors and team sponsors to take legal steps and activate the sponsorship contract.
