Al Ahly have wrapped up a deal to bring defender Ahmed Ramadan Beckham on loan from Ceramica Cleopatra as part of their push to reinforce the squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.
The agreement runs for one season and includes a buy option.
Sources close to the deal revealed Beckham joins the Cairo giants for EGP 9 million, with a purchase clause set at EGP 30 million.
The 26-year-old is currently at the club’s headquarters to finalise the paperwork. He is expected to visit the US embassy on Monday to secure a visa ahead of Al Ahly’s trip to the United States, where they will compete in the prestigious tournament.
This marks Al Ahly’s sixth signing of a busy transfer window. The club have already brought in Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Mohamed Siha, Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, and Hamdi Fathy, who arrives on a short-term loan from Qatari side Al Wakrah.
Al Ahly’s bold transfer moves signal their intent to make a strong statement on the global stage.
