Defender Ahmed Ramadan has expressed his delight after returning to Al-Ahly.
The 28-year-old who started his career in the youth team of Al Ahly has returned to the Egyptian giants today on a season-long loan from fellow Egyptian Premier League side Ceramica Cleopatra.
Speaking after completing the move, Ahmed Ramadan said he is happy to be back and described Al-Ahly as his home.
“I am happy to return to my home, Al Ahly Club. I have been waiting for this opportunity since my departure three years ago. I have worked hard and fought until this moment, and I do not think I will waste this opportunity. God willing, I will live up to the expectations of the management, fans and technical staff, and have a distinguished season and more championships,” Ahmed Ramadan said.
He continued, “The feeling I convey to the fans is like someone who has been abroad for a number of years and then returned again. I am very lucky to be returning to a major tournament like the Club World Cup.”
The signing of Ahmed Ramadan is strategic for Al Ahly as the club continue with preparations for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.
