Egyptian giants Al Ahly have confirmed the addition of Karim Fouad and Hamza Abdel Karim to their squad for the ongoing CAF Champions League.
This move finalizes the club’s list for the competition ahead of their quarterfinal tie against Al-Hilal in April 2025.
A source from the club revealed that Fouad, who underwent knee surgery for an ACL injury last August, is progressing well in his recovery.
He is expected to resume training gradually in mid-April and could be ready for competitive matches by the end of the month.
At the beginning of the season, Al Ahly registered 33 players, leaving seven open spots in their 40-man squad, as permitted by CAF regulations.
The club had previously included Ahmed Reda, Mostafa El-Ash, Slovenian Jenič Gardiešar, and Moroccan Achraf Bencharki. With the latest additions, Al Ahly has now filled all available slots.
The final squad includes four goalkeepers, several experienced defenders, a strong midfield lineup, and a mix of young and established forwards. The team is aiming to strengthen its campaign in Africa’s top club competition.
