Mohamed El-Jarh, a member of Al Ahly’s board of directors and head of the team’s mission in Algeria, received a delegation from the Al Ahly Fan Club in Algeria, led by Ahmed Ben Kharfia, this afternoon.
This meeting took place on the sidelines of the first football team’s presence in the Algerian capital to face Belouizdad in the African Champions League.
Ahmed Ben Kharfia was keen to present Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib, the club’s president, with the association’s jersey bearing his name.
He expressed profound sadness at the passing of the late Amer Farouk, Al Ahly’s vice president.
Ben Kharfia stated that the fan club is always delighted with Al Ahly’s presence in their second home, Algeria.
He emphasized that matches between Al Ahly, the “Club of the Century” in Africa, and Algerian teams always attract great interest and immense popularity.
He expressed his hope that today’s match between Al Ahly and Belouizdad would reflect the caliber of both teams appropriately.
