Egyptian powerhouse Al-Ahly has stepped up to address ongoing speculation about a potential transfer of their youth team winger Abdullah Jaafar to Spanish side Real Zaragoza.
The 17-year-old attacking winger has been at the center of transfer buzz after reports surfaced claiming an official offer had been made. However, the club insider quickly set the record straight.
The source told Kooora, “Al Ahly has not received any official offer to buy the player or even to spend a trial period.” he said.
“There is an offer circulating on social media, and it does not represent an offer to negotiate, but rather communication between a marketing company and the player, nothing more.
“The company made an offer to market the player to Real Zaragoza, but Al-Ahly has not received any notification from the Spanish club.
“Once the offer is officially received, it will be presented to the planning committee to make the appropriate decision.
“Al-Ahly does not stand in the way of its players’ interests, as evidenced by the departure of more than one player to Europe in recent seasons, such as Amr Khaled Bebo, who joined Aarau in Switzerland, and Mohamed Yasser, who is on loan to the Czech league.”
