Al Ahly have delivered encouraging news about their young talent Hamza Abdelkarim, who has attracted strong interest from Spanish giants Barcelona during the current winter transfer window.
The winger had raised concerns after picking up an injury against Al Mokawloon Al Arab in the Egypt Capital Cup, forcing him to leave the match early and sparking fears over his fitness at a crucial stage of his career.
Club doctor Ahmed Gaballah clarified Hamza’s condition after conducting checks in the hours following the game. He confirmed that the player had suffered only a bruise to his foot and moved quickly to reassure both fans and potential suitors.
Gaballah said on Al Ahly’s official website: “Hamza Abdelkarim, the team’s player, has fully recovered from the foot contusion he suffered during the Al Mokawloon Al Arab match.”
He added that Hamza has passed a medical examination and returned to full group training without any problems. Gaballah concluded: “Hamza underwent a medical test in recent hours and took part normally in group training, and is ready to play in the upcoming matches according to the coaching staff’s vision.”
