Al Ahly consider signing Morocco winger Sofiane Boufal as summer transfer window heats up
Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC are reportedly showing interest in Morocco international Sofiane Boufal during the ongoing summer transfer window, AfricaSoccer.com understands.
According to Egyptian press reports on Monday evening, Boufal’s name has surfaced as one of the key targets for Al Ahly as they aim to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.
The Egyptian newspaper “Fi El Kool” disclosed that Boufal is among the shortlisted candidates considered by the Al Ahly management to enhance their offensive capabilities.
The Red Devil’s administration presented Boufal’s profile to head coach Marcel Koller, who reportedly expressed his approval of the potential acquisition.
This indicates that negotiations could be in the works, as Al Ahly aims to secure the services of the skilful Moroccan winger from Qatari club Al Rayyan.
Boufal, known for his technical abilities, flair, and creativity on the field, would bring a dynamic presence to Al Ahly’s attacking lineup.
His experience playing in various European leagues, including French Ligue 1, La Liga and the Premier League, adds significant value to any team he joins.
This interest follows Al Ahly’s recent signing of another Morocco national team player, Yahya Attiat Allah, who joined the club from Russia’s Sochi on a loan deal.
The potential addition of Boufal could further solidify Al Ahly’s ambitions to dominate both domestic and continental competitions in the coming season.
