Marcel Koller, the head coach of Al Ahly’s first football team, convened with the coaching staff this morning to discuss all technical matters concerning the ongoing camp in the United Arab Emirates.
The head coach meticulously reviewed the training schedule, the physical and medical condition of the players, and coordinated all technical aspects of the camp.
The team conducted its first training session yesterday evening upon their direct arrival in the Emirates, adhering to the set training schedule for the players.
The coaching staff, led by Swiss coach Marcel Koller, has decided to engage in a friendly match against the Saudi Al-Akhdoud team.
The encounter is set to take place in Abu Dhabi on January 23, followed by a match against Kuwait’s Al Kuwaiti team on January 27.
Al Ahly’s board assigned Khaled Bebo, the Director of Football, to act as the head of the team’s delegation in the Emirates during the camp.
Bebo ensured the completion of all necessary arrangements for the camp, including the requirements for the coaching and administrative staff, training pitches, as well as the comprehensive coordination of friendly matches and all organizational matters during the camp.
The Al Ahly team is undergoing the Emirates camp without its international players who are participating in the Africa Cup of Nations. Seven players from Al Ahly are with the national team: Mohamed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Abdel-Monem, Mohamed Hani, Emam Ashour, Marwan Attia, Yasser Ibrahim, and Mahmoud Kahraba.
