The Al Ahly youth team triumphed over Aston Villa with a 1-0 scoreline in the Zed International Youth Tournament for under 17s.
The opening goal for Al Ahly was netted by Mohamed Haitham in the 10th minute of the match, setting the tone for a dynamic encounter.
However, the game also witnessed a missed penalty by Yassin Atef for Al Ahly, which could have doubled their lead in the 19th minute.
The latest edition of the Zed International Cup for under 17s kicked off from March 25th to 30th at the Zed Sports Club in New Cairo, featuring the participation of 12 local and European clubs.
The participating teams include Zed FC, Al Ahly, Zamalek, Arab Contractors, ENPPI, Pyramids, Feyenoord Rotterdam from the Netherlands, Vitoria from Portugal, Aston Villa from England, Fenerbahçe from Turkey, Blackburn Rovers from England, and Union Berlin from Germany.
