Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi have completed the signing of DR Congo defender Nathan Fasika in a deal reported to be worth €200,000.
Reports indicate that the Libyan side paid the fee to secure the services of the Chippa United centre-back, with Fasika penning a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027.
The move comes just six months after Fasika joined Chippa from Cape Town City, where he made 13 appearances for the Chilli Boys.
The 25-year-old defender has featured for several clubs across Africa and Europe, including Congolese heavyweights FC Saint Éloi Lupopo, Norwegian outfit Vålerenga, and Chippa United.
He first caught the spotlight in South Africa during his spell with Cape Town City.
Fasika made 62 appearances for the Western Cape-based side before leaving following their relegation at the end of the 2024/25 season.
His switch to the Libyan Premier League places him among a growing list of high-profile names in the league, including Burkina Faso international Stéphane Aziz Ki and South African star Thembinkosi Lorch, who both recently joined Al-Ittihad from Wydad Athletic Club.
