Fresh off celebrating their record-extending 45th league title, Egyptian giants Al Ahly have confirmed the departure of Ramy Rabia, Akram Tawfik, and Hamza Alaa.
The three players exit after seeing out their contracts, which were not renewed following the close of the season.
Al Ahly, who thrashed Pharco 6-0 on Wednesday to seal their third straight Egyptian Premier League crown, announced the news in a short statement on their official website.
“The club thanked the trio of Ramy Rabia, Akram Tawfik and Hamza Alaa after their contracts expired,” the statement read.
The Reds now shift focus to a new chapter under recently appointed coach Jose Riveiro. The Spaniard is expected to oversee a rebuilding process as the club targets even more silverware in the coming campaign.
The exits mark the end of an era for Rabia and Tawfik in particular, who were key figures during Al Ahly’s dominance in domestic and continental competitions. As fans bid farewell, attention quickly turns to how Riveiro shapes the team’s future.
