The four African clubs set to compete in the 2025 Club World Cup will benefit from a rule change by FIFA.
Ahead of the revamped tournament, FIFA has decided that participating teams will be allowed to make transfers before the start.
The additional transfer window will ensure that all clubs strengthen their squads to spice up the tournament and make it more competitive.
The rule change means that African clubs, Al Ahly, Mamelodi Sundowns, Esperance Tunis, and Wydad AC, would have the chance to sign and register top talents for the tournament.
The additional transfer window will be open from June 1 to 10.
Already, information gathered indicates that Al Ahly, Mamelodi Sundowns, Esperance Tunis, and Wydad AC have opened talks with some players in hopes of signing and registering them when the window opens.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to be held in the USA from June 14 to July 13, 2025.
