Yasser Ryan, former star of Al-Ahly, disclosed that Zamalek Football Club had expressed interest in signing his son, Ahmed Yasser Ryan, the striker for the first team of Ceramica Cleopatra Club, during the last winter transfer window.
Speaking on the program “Al-Layeb” broadcasted on MBC Egypt, Yasser Ryan stated, “Zamalek negotiated with Ahmed Yasser Ryan just a few days before the end of the registration period.”
He further elaborated, “Ceramica Cleopatra refused to let Ahmed Yasser Ryan leave for Zamalek,” adding, “The management of Ceramica Cleopatra rejected the departure of Ahmed Yasser to any club in Egypt other than Al-Ahly.
There is a clause in Ahmed Yasser Ryan’s contract that allows Al-Ahly to reclaim the player’s services until the end of the second season for 22 million Egyptian pounds.”
Continuing, he explained, “This clause expires at the end of the current season. If Al-Ahly does not wish to sign Ahmed Yasser in the upcoming summer transfer window, the player will be free to move to any club.”
Concluding his statement, Yasser Ryan expressed, “I welcome Ahmed’s move to Zamalek. We are living in the era of professionalism, especially since Al-Ahly is signing forwards and has not requested his return.”
