Renowned sports commentator Ahmed Shobier has unveiled the complete details surrounding the suspension of registration for Al-Ahly due to outstanding dues to former player Bruno Savio from Brazil.
In a television statement broadcasted on “ON Time Sports,” Ahmed Shobier addressed recent rumors circulating about Al-Ahly facing a registration suspension due to unpaid dues to Bruno Savio, a former player of the team.
“When Al-Ahly concluded its contract with Savio last season, they fulfilled all his financial obligations.
However, there were disputes over financial terms in the contract, specifically bonuses stipulated for tournaments in which he did not participate.
The player insisted on receiving them, a demand rejected by Al-Ahly due to his non-participation in those tournaments,” Shobier clarified.
He continued, “The player resorted to FIFA and obtained a judgment equivalent to $230,000.”
Shobier added, “A warning was sent to Al-Ahly, emphasizing the need for payment, or else the registration would be suspended.”
“The club subsequently paid $230,000 to the player and proceeded to register new and youth players,” he concluded.
This revelation sheds light on the financial intricacies and contractual disagreements that occasionally transpire between football clubs and their former players.
The resolution of this matter allows Al-Ahly to continue its operations and player registrations without impediments in the ongoing football season.
