The prominent sports journalist Ahmed Shobeir disclosed Al Ahly Club’s decision regarding the renewal of the contract of Tunisian player Ali Maaloul, the left-back of the first football team of the Red Castle, whose contract with the team is set to expire at the end of the current season.
Speaking in a televised statement on “ON Time Sports” channel, Shobeir stated, “Al Ahly Club is awaiting Marcel Koller’s decision regarding Ali Maaloul’s fate before commencing negotiations with the player regarding the renewal of his contract.”
He further elaborated, “Koller has yet to decide on the renewal of Ali Maaloul’s contract, and the club is facing a crisis in providing players’ salaries in dollars.”
Shobeir emphasized, “I believe that Maaloul is indispensable to Al Ahly Club.”
Additionally, Shobeir revealed, “Al Ahly has decided to renew the contract with Amr El Sulaya, and the contract renewal will be finalized after reaching an agreement on all financial matters with the player.”
He added, “The club has decided to welcome an increase in El Sulaya’s contract to 750,000 Egyptian pounds in the upcoming season.”
