Ahmed Sayed Zizo pushes recovery to rejoin Al Ahly ahead of Zamalek clash
Ahmed Sayed Zizo is working tirelessly to return to Al Ahly training as he targets the much-anticipated showdown with rivals Zamalek.
The winger, a key figure in the squad, is determined to recover quickly after picking up a hamstring injury.
The setback came during last Sunday’s league game against Enppi, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Since then, Zizo has committed himself fully to treatment in order to return stronger.
An Al Ahly source told Kooora, “Zizo is undergoing three treatment and rehabilitation sessions daily, in order to return as soon as possible.”
The same source added, “The player underwent new x-rays on Friday, which revealed a positive improvement in his condition.”
For now, Zizo will not be part of the plans when Al Ahly faces Haras El-Hodoud in the next round on Tuesday. However, the club has confirmed he is set to begin gradual group training on Wednesday.
The focus is on being ready for September 29, when Al Ahly and Zamalek renew their rivalry in the Egyptian Premier League.
