Ahmed Salem, the official spokesperson for Zamalek, announced the formal closure of the club’s new signings during the current winter transfer window.
Speaking on the “Zamalekawi” program with Ahmed Ali on the Zamalek channel, Salem stated that the club’s board has decided to content itself with the players acquired in the past January window, officially closing the chapter on new signings during the winter transfer period.
Salem emphasized that the newly appointed head coach, Portuguese José Gomes, advocates for a streamlined approach, preferring to work with the existing squad rather than bringing in fresh faces.
Regarding the injury to Mahmoud Hamdi “El Wensh,” the Zamalek defender, Salem confirmed that the final diagnosis has not been determined yet.
He stressed that the coming hours will witness additional radiological examinations to precisely assess the extent of the injury.
Concluding his statements, Ahmed Salem revealed that Captain Moatamed Gamal has formally declined to continue with the new coaching staff at Zamalek, expressing gratitude for his contributions to the club during a challenging period after taking charge in difficult times.
