Fresh details have emerged about Zamalek winger Ahmed Mostafa Zizo’s blockbuster switch to rivals Al Ahly, even as the player publicly insists no deal is done.
Al Ahly’s management has quietly finalized everything for a four-year free transfer, locking in one of Egypt’s hottest talents. An insider spilled to Kooora on Tuesday that Zizo has already put pen to paper, contradicting his earlier claim that he hadn’t signed with any team, domestic or abroad.
The insider revealed Al-Ahly has slotted Zizo into their top tier, handing him a hefty 25 million Egyptian pounds yearly, no participation bonuses needed. Beyond that, he’s set to pocket 60 million pounds from a four-year ad deal with the football company, plus an 80 million-pound lump sum from an external source once the transfer goes public.
Zizo’s haul will hit 240 million pounds over the contract’s life. With a U.S. travel visa secured, he’s gearing up to join Al-Ahly at next summer’s Club World Cup. The deal is likely to be announced in late May.
