Zamalek midfielder Ahmed Hamdi has jetted off to Germany in frustration, choosing to leave without finalizing key travel arrangements with the club.

The 27-year-old, who is recovering from cruciate ligament surgery following an injury in the African Confederation Cup final against Morocco’s RS Berkane on May 19, decided to take matters into his own hands, literally.

A source at the club revealed that Hamdi will undergo further medical tests on Wednesday evening to assess his recovery progress. However, tensions behind the scenes appear to have boiled over, as Hamdi reportedly paid for the trip himself after disagreements with Zamalek officials.

The player stirred attention online after posting the phrase “Hassabi Allah wa Naeem al-Wakeel” on Instagram, a move that hinted at his frustration.

Hamdi is determined to get final clearance from his trusted doctor in Germany before joining Zamalek’s pre-season training. Despite the conflict, he remains focused on a strong return next season.
