Ahmed Gaballah, the head of the medical staff for the first football team at Al Ahly Club, confirmed that the recent radiological examinations conducted on Wessam Abu Ali, the team’s player, revealed a hamstring strain.
A specific therapeutic and rehabilitation program has been outlined to prepare him for a return to action with Al Ahly.
Gaballah explained that Abu Ali complained of discomfort in the hamstring following the training session held yesterday at the Al Ahly Training Ground, prompting the necessary medical tests to assess his condition and determine the extent of the injury.
The Ahly squad continued its training this morning at the Al Ahly Training Ground in preparation for the upcoming match against JS Kabylie in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The team had previously undertaken an external training camp in Ajman, UAE, where they played friendly matches against Saudi side Al-Ahda and UAE’s Hatta FC as part of their preparations for upcoming challenges.
