An insider from Al Ahly club has revealed that the international Malian player, Aliou Dieng, a key member of the first football team at the club, will undergo knee surgery due to a recurring injury that he has been suffering from in recent times.
According to Al-Masry Al-Youm, the midfielder underwent radiological examinations in recent days after experiencing knee pain, confirming his struggle with a knee injury that requires surgery.
The source indicated that Dieng is expected to be sidelined for a period ranging from 4 to 6 weeks to recover and return to Al Ahly’s training sessions.
Consequently, it is likely that the Malian player will miss the highly anticipated derby match against Zamalek in the Cup, scheduled for March 8th next month.
