Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng, a key member of Al Ahly’s first football team, joined the group’s collective training session held this morning at the Al Ahly Club’s training ground in El Gezira, following his recent arrival in Cairo.
Under the supervision of Marcel Koller, the team’s head coach, an intensive training session was conducted for the international players on the field of Mukhtar El-Tetch this morning.
Meanwhile, the rest of the players were given time off as part of the upcoming training schedule.
Varied Training Regimen for Ahly’s International Contingent
The training session encompassed diverse physical exercises, followed by tactical drills overseen by Koller, with Dieng opting to participate in the training immediately upon his return to Cairo.
The coaching staff continued to prepare the players for the upcoming encounter against the Algerian side, CR Belouizdad, in the CAF Champions League, scheduled for Friday, February 16, as part of the postponed fourth round of the group stage in the tournament.
Ahly, aiming for further success in the continental competition, remains committed to rigorous training regimes and strategic preparations to maintain their competitive edge.
