The position of the Vice President of the Board of Directors of Al Ahly Club has become vacant following the passing of Amr Farouk.
He succumbed to illness on Friday after a prolonged struggle, battling a brain hemorrhage for over two months.
In the aftermath of Amr Farouk’s demise, the board of Al Ahly Club will continue its operations.
A member of the board will be appointed to act as the Vice President temporarily until a supplementary election is called for the Vice President position only.
The General Assembly for the election of the Vice President of the Board of Directors of Al Ahly Club is scheduled to take place after the end of the fiscal year, between July and October 2024.
According to Al Ahly Club’s regulations, elections will be conducted exclusively for this position.
The club will issue a call for new elections for the Vice President position.
The Board of Directors of Al Ahly Club announced the organization of memorial seasons for Amr Farouk, the Vice President of the club and former Minister of Sports, on Monday at Al-Mushir Mosque.
Mourning was declared at the Red Castle for a duration of three days.
