The Algerian basketball team, currently training in Morocco for the upcoming African Nations Championship (Afrobasket), suffered its first defeat with a score of 93-88 against the Moroccan team in a friendly match. Another friendly match between the two teams is scheduled for August 5. The Moroccan technical staff is planning two more gatherings in preparation for Afrobasket, where Morocco will play in Group B alongside Tunisia, Rwanda, and Burkina Faso. Afrobasket 2013 is scheduled to take place from August 20 to 31 in Ivory Coast.
