African stars Uchenna Ogundu and Maestro power Alanyaspor to victory in Turkey
Top performances from African players Uchenna Ogundu and Maestro propelled Alanyaspor to a crucial 2-1 victory over Konyaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Saturday.
Nigerian forward Ogundu opened the scoring in the 28th minute, timing his run perfectly to convert E. Keskin’s cross. Konyaspor hit back early in the second half through Enis Bardhi, levelling the match in the 51st minute.
However, the decisive moment came in the 79th minute when Ogundu turned provider, setting up Angolan midfielder Maestro to slot home the winner.
Ogundu ended the night with a goal and an assist, while Maestro’s calm finish sealed all three points for Alanyaspor. The duo’s brilliance once again highlighted their rising influence in Turkish football.
