African Champions League: Somali referee to officiate Tunisian and South African clash
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Somali referee Omar Abdelqader Artan to officiate the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final match, which pits Tunisian football representative, Esperance Sportive de Tunis, against South African giants, Mamelodi Sundowns.
The refereeing team for the match includes Sudanese assistant referee Mohammed Abdullah Ibrahim as the first assistant, and Djiboutian assistant referee Liban Abdurazak Ahmed as the second assistant.
Algerian VAR room supervision will be under Lahlou Ben Ibrahim.
The match is scheduled to take place next Friday at 8:00 pm local time at the Hamed El-Ahmar Stadium in Rades.
