Africa football greats Jay-Jay Okocha and Samuel Eto’o attend PSG-Arsenal Champions League clash in Paris

Former Africa football stars Jay-Jay Okocha and Samuel Eto’o were in attendance when Paris Saint Germain hosted Arsenal in the Champions League semifinals return fixture.

The French giants prevailed with a 2-1 win over the Gunners in Paris, ensuring their qualification to the finals of this year’s competition. Before the return clash, PSG had secured a 1-0 win over the Premier League club in England.

Progressing 3-1 on aggregate, the Ligue 1 giants has set up a tie with Italian giants Inter Milan, to be held in Munich on May 31, 2025.

Interestingly, Okocha (Nigeria) and Eto’o (Cameroon) were in the stands to witness the crucial clash between PSG and Arsenal.

The meeting of these two African football legends sent fans into a frenzy, with their joint photo serving as a celebration of African football excellence.

It’s worth noting that Jay-Jay Okocha played for PSG from 1998 to 2002, leaving Parisians with warm memories of his time at the club.

Meanwhile, Eto’o was a key figure for Inter Milan, becoming one of the main heroes of the Italian club’s iconic 2010 Champions League triumph.

And in 2025, these two clubs will once again face off in the grand finale of Europe’s premier club competition.

PSG convincingly overcame Arsenal over two legs, securing a 3-1 aggregate victory. Inter Milan, in a thrilling showdown, edged past Barcelona, defeating the Catalans with a dramatic 7-6 aggregate score.
