DR Congo rooted duo of Denis Zakaria and Christian Mawissa are doubtful for Monaco’s upcoming clash against Brest in the French Ligue 1.
Zakaria, who is a Swiss-DR Congo midfielder missed training on Thursday morning and could not be available for the highly competitive clash scheduled for Saturday.
Mawissa, who is a French-DR Congo defender was also not present at training, making him a major doubt for the match.
Explaining the absence of the duo, Monaco manager Adi Hütter said that their “pains” were “nothing special”, evoking a general fatigue, perhaps linked to a heavy session on Wednesday.
As a result, both worked in the gym on Thursday, two days before the visit to Brest. He added that the pair would be evaluated tomorrow and a decision would be made about their participation.
Aside the duo, Monaco have almost a full squad at their disposal as the team gear up for the match this weekend.
Monaco have been boosted by the return of Jordan Teze, Soungoutou Magasssa, and Kassoum Ouattara heading into the match.
