Africa duo of Afimico Pululu and Cédric Bakambu are keenly contesting for the UEFA Europa League goal king prize.
Pululu, who is of Angolan descent has performed admirably in the Conference League this season, racking up 8 goals in 12 matches for Jagiellonia Białystok.
Despite his outfit bowing out of the competition, Pululu remains top of the goal king race.
Bakambu, on the other side, has flourished for Real Betis in the Conference League, scoring 7 goals in 12 matches. The experienced attacker is one goal behind the Angolan striker, making the goal king race fiercely contested.
But unlike Jagiellonia, the Spanish side are still competing in the European competition, having knocked out none other than the reigning Polish champions in the quarterfinals.
Real Betis are in the semifinals of the competition, giving Bakambu a slight advantage over Pululu in the goal king race.
A strike additional strike could propel Bakambu to the Conference League goal king at the end of the season.
