Africa Cup of Nations 2023: Namibian coach discusses team’s chances against Tunisia

205

Benjamin Collins, the head coach of the Namibian national team, expressed that the upcoming match against Tunisia will be exceptionally challenging, given Tunisia’s extensive history and experience in African championships.

Tunisia is set to face Namibia on Tuesday in the first round of Group F at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Speaking at a press conference today, Benjamin Collins emphasized that facing Tunisia is no small feat, acknowledging their formidable track record in African competitions.

He revealed having meticulously analyzed video footage and highlights from Tunisia’s friendly match against Cape Verde, aiming to discern the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents before tomorrow’s crucial encounter.

However, the Namibian coach refused to disclose the method through which he obtained the recordings, emphasizing Tunisia’s favoritism for victory.

Despite this acknowledgment, Collins underscored the team’s commitment to putting up a strong fight and believing in their chances to secure a win and accumulate crucial points.

Benjamin Collins further noted his awareness of Tunisia’s formidable team, but the results witnessed in the first two days of the African tournament have heightened their focus.

The Namibian team is determined to achieve their objectives in the competition, with their sights set on overcoming Tunisia and making a significant impact in the tournament.
